Only your finest items
Want to consign clothes? Great! We invite you to bring your finest items, washed and ironed, in a sturdy bag. At Appel & Ei, we take a selective approach to our inventory, whether it’s second-hand clothing or new pieces. While we only sell items that meet the highest demand, this doesn’t mean other pieces aren’t beautiful. Some items might look perfect but don’t sell simply because there’s no current interest in our store. For first-time consignors, we recommend putting together one bag with only your very best items; this way, we can sell them with pleasure!
How does consignment work?
You can easily offer your clothes for sale during our extended opening hours without needing an appointment. Check the store page for current opening hours of an Appel & Ei near you. Once you’ve dropped off your clothes, they’ll be carefully selected within two weeks and will then be displayed in our store for up to six weeks, giving you the chance to find a new owner for your items.
We accept spring and summer clothing from February 1st through July 31st, and fall and winter clothing from August 1st through January 31st. We also welcome shoes, bags, and other lovely accessories.

Clothes sold?
After the sales period has ended and your items have sold successfully, you’ll receive 40 percent of our selling price. You can easily collect your accumulated credit in the store at your convenience. Would you prefer us to transfer the amount to your account? That’s no problem at all! You can indicate in advance whether you’d like to have any unsold clothes returned or if we may donate them to charity, allowing your items to get a second life and make others happy.

Contributing, what should you pay attention to?
Fresh & clean
Do you buy musty clothes? Neither do our customers. At Appel & Ei, we have a high standard when it comes to the quality of the items we accept. Therefore, we can only accept clean, spotless and (k) wrinkle-free garments that are in perfect condition. It is our mission to offer an assortment that is not only stylish, but also meets the expectations of our customers in terms of hygiene and quality.
Contemporary
Our customers are looking for trendy and contemporary items that have recently been in fashion, with a maximum of two seasons old. Therefore, we invite you to bring in your former favorites, but we kindly ask you not to bring large loads of outdated clothing. At Appel & Ei, we believe that style and innovation go hand in hand, and we want to keep our collection fresh and relevant for everyone who shops with us.
Condition
Detail is essential at Appel & Ei. If a button is missing, a seam is torn or a zipper does not function, we are unfortunately forced not to accept these items. So it is really worth making sure that your garments and accessories are in excellent condition. Well-maintained items not only radiate quality, but they also increase the chance of a successful sale. Take the time to carefully inspect your items.
